Our blog!

This blog chronicles the life and times of 8 high school (and before) friends who beyond all odds are still friends even though they're at different colleges across the United States.

It's that time of year...

when we begin to decide what our christmas plans will be this year. So, Christmas is in 87 days, and since it takes us at least two months to normally decide and agree on something that we'd like to do over our Christmas break, I decided to post this now. So, we could all go to Greenfield village again, and I know Mark suggested somewhere else, but for the life of me, I can't remember where...so everyone needs to leave a comment with somewhere we'd like to go to this year. And it will be inevitable, that if we pick something outdoors, it will be the coldest day of the year...

But, on a side note, school has been going well...it's nice to only have 12 credits...it's a nice change in my life. I can't believe we've been down here for 6 weeks already, and Thanksgiving break is 7 weeks from tomorrow. It's finally starting to cool off so that the heat isn't unbearable anymore. The picture below is from last Saturday at cheesecake factory. We were there for a surprise birthday party...there was a group of about 25 of us. But, I have to get ready for class, and don't forget to comment on where you'd like for all of us to go this Christmas!

stuff

How is everyone's semester going? Based on the lack of posting I think we're all pretty busy. I've been working full time and taking Philosophy and Algebra. I'm taking both of my classes online which is a new and very frustrating experience. I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. I've been enjoying Philosophy and it has been providing some good witnessing opportunities. Today's assignment was to post our personal philosophy on life and answer questions like "What do you value most in life, Do you believe in God, What gives life meaning," etc. It's very interesting reading what everybody thinks. Algebra on the other hand is going terrible. It's really stressing me out and I might end up dropping it. I couldn't get my CD's to work for a week and that put me behind and I've had a hard time catching up. My instructor gave me an extention because of that but then ended up marking me down for the extention!

Work has been going great! I really love it! I'll probably be taken out of orientation early in October instead of November. If you guys are around November 10th you are welcome to my Versant graduation if I get enough tickets. I've been having some trouble with parking though and one night I ended up having to make a 10 minute hike through Detroit at 11pm to get to Children's. Not fun! Luckily I'm still alive to tell the story :).

Comet and I are living at my mom's house now. We might be moving soon but I've been having a hard time making a decision about that.

I'm also working in Sparks I with Barker on Wednesday nights. It's been fun!

Hope everyone's having a good semester!
