work, work, work
I've been working full time for two weeks now. I just got my own benefits last week (thats just for barker- he says I keep rubbing it in) so I feel really old. I got a call back from the apartments I checked out and they said to call them back and they would "sweeten the deal." I'm still not sure if I want to live by myself, so let me know if you know of someone around here who wants a roommate.
Today was my first day working on the floor. I've had classes the last two weeks. Today I pretty much just shadowed the nurse for the day. Of course my preceptor is the one nurse I don't like on the entire floor, but I'm making the best of it. It'll teach me patience thats for sure! I'm being cross trained in burn/surgery and in rehab. I'm starting out in rehab. Most of the kids there are older so I prefer the burn/surgery side where the babies are.
I finally got my NCLEX (nursing boards) date. It's July 22, and I'm scared to death so pray for me! I'm studying like crazy!
Last night was my first night alone at my mom's house and I didn't get shot or anything :). I did get scared to death when I heard somebody running up the stairs in the middle of the night until I realized it was the people in the townhouse next to ours. I was also kept up all night with fire works and hip hop. Hopefully tonight will go better!
Melanie found out today that her cousin died in a car accident, so she and Brandon are driving to New York tonight. Pray for them if you think about it. Please also remember to pray for my parents. I think by now everybody knows that my mom moved out a couple of weeks ago. Earlier this week my dad decided to file for divorce. Now I'm going to be the only consistent Christian influence for him, so please pray for me and also that he would be more receptive to the gosple.
